Please help us get the word out to your neighbors that the Franklin Fire Department will be testing fire hydrants throughout the City of Franklin beginning Tuesday, January 22 and continuing through March. We do this to ensure they have adequate water flow for fire protection and community safety.
The flow tests may stir up sediment in the water lines, causing the water to become temporarily discolored. If this happens following a hydrant test in your area, open your faucets and let the cold water run until it is clear.
The Fire Department tests the hydrants twice annually as part of our comprehensive hydrant maintenance schedule. If you have any questions, please give us a call at 791-3270, or contact your water utility:
