June 2007 Flyer

7/6/2007
Founders Pointe Flyer
June, 2007

As indicated previously, the Founders Pointe HOA Board will be sending out a “Flyer” with each billing notice to present information pertinent to our neighborhood. This is to supplement the website, www.founderspointe.org/, and the e-mails that are sent to neighbors who have registered their addresses with the secretary@founderspointe.org.

Fourth of July Celebration!

The Founders Pointe 4th of July Bike Decoration and Parade will begin at 8:30 am in front of the pool pavilion. Prizes will be awarded for patriotically decorated bikes, trikes, wagons and pets. Then, all will take part in a short neighborhood parade led by the Franklin City Fire Department. Come one! Come all for fun and refreshments!

Founders Pointe Party set for August 25th

The Annual Founders Pointe “end of summer” party is set for Saturday, August 25th. The theme this year is “Beauty and the Beast”. More details will be announced in the future, but mark this day on your calendar. Volunteer help is needed to put this gala event together. Contact brenda.toscano@crye-leike.com or jandmrussell@comcast.net .

Maury Family Cemetery Fund Raising Success

The day lily sale on April 20-21 raised $640 and Equity Property Management donated another $360 to provide a $1000 check to the Williamson County Heritage Foundation for the continued work to repair and upgrade the Maury Family Cemetery on Rutherford Lane. Our landscape company, Russell Landscaping Group, donated the day lilies and everyone is proud to support the maintenance of this historic site.

Mack Hatcher Plan means improvements for Founders Pointe

As your HOA supported, the City of Franklin approved a plan to speed up the completion of the Mack Hatcher by-pass. This could now be completed by 2011 instead of 2014 and would alleviate traffic on west Highway 96. Moreover, in the short term, the HOA gained agreement for a stop light at Carlisle Lane and widening 96 for turning lanes in front of Founders Pointe. This work will ease our access onto and off of Highway 96.

Swimming Pool open and the water is great!

Please enjoy the warm summer weather by cooling off at our very nice swimming pool facility. The pool is open from 10 am to 9 pm each day with accommodations made for early openings by lap swimmers. Pool monitors check residents and guests into the facility and regulate water chemicals and do routine work. They are not lifeguards or enforcement officers. Parents and adults have to help keep the pool area safe, clean and orderly. The pool and the pool parking lot are closed at 9 pm. The Franklin City Police are helping to monitor the area and we have had few problems with vandalism. Your help in maintaining this wonderful facility is appreciated.

Home Improvements Reminder

Our neighborhood and homes are now 10 years or more in age and maintenance is required by all to keep our home appearances and values in good shape.
- A notice went out last year to homeowners who need to remove mold and mildew from their siding or roofs. Please comply with this to keep our neighborhood looking nice.
- In addition, keep your lawns mowed and edge the grass at the sidewalks and the curb.
- Also, trim your trees over the sidewalks to keep branches from hitting people walking.
Equity Mgmt. will sending compliance notices to homeowners that do not comply.

Welcoming Committee asks inputs for new neighborhood directory

The Welcoming Committee is enclosing a brief survey form to update information about Founders Pointe residents. A new Founders Pointe Directory is being prepared and will be available on our website and also sent out in printed form once per year. The basic directory information of name, address and phone compiles public information, but any additional information about family, hobbies, interests, baby sitting, pet sitting, etc. would be accessible only to residents through a coded password system on the website.

It is the intention of the Welcoming Committee to greet new residents and make all residents feel welcome and be as friendly as they choose to get to know neighbors. Information would be handled in a secure manner within the HOA neighborhood.

New website format being prepared

Our website address www.founderspointe.org will remain but the site will be upgraded in appearance, capability and security in the coming weeks. Begin checking it out soon!
We owe neighbor Damon Tindall thanks for opening this site and making this possible.

Board meeting set

The next HOA Board meeting is Thursday, August 16, 2007. If you wish to have an issue addressed or attend the meeting please contact secretary@founderspointe.org .
